The Rotary Club of Joliet proudly awards three annual scholarships to students enrolled in healthcare‑related programs at Joliet Junior College, University of St. Francis, and Lewis University. These scholarships are designated for tuition only.

About the Application

Applicants will complete a short essay addressing their volunteer experience, chosen field of study, and academic/career goals. In keeping with Rotary International’s guiding principle, “Service Above Self,” students will also be asked to describe how they demonstrate service in their daily lives and how they plan to apply this value in their future profession.

Honoring Dr. Paul Morimoto

These scholarships are made possible through a generous gift from the family of Dr. Paul Morimoto—a dedicated Rotarian of 39 years, a respected Joliet ophthalmologist, and recipient of the Sehring Medal of Excellence from Silver Cross Hospital in 2013.

Eligibility

Students must:

  • Attend Joliet Junior College, University of St. Francis, or Lewis University
