Joliet Rotary honors its 2026 scholarship recipients—outstanding seniors from Joliet Catholic, Central, and West High Schools.

The Joliet Rotary Club is proud to announce the recipients of its 2026 High School Scholarships, recognizing outstanding seniors from Joliet Catholic, Central, and West High Schools. The program honors academic achievement, leadership, and community involvement while supporting future student success.

Each year, Joliet Rotary invests in local students through its scholarship program, awarding financial support to help them continue their education. These scholarships reflect Rotary’s guiding principle of “Service Above Self” and its dedication to empowering young leaders who will positively impact their communities.

2026 High School Scholarship Recipients

The following students have been selected as this year’s $1,000 scholarship recipients:

  • Joliet Catholic Academy: Christopher Corsi and Kai Nathaniel
  • Joliet Central High School: Jack Strabbing and Ariadna Cornejo
  • Joliet West High School: Nelly Gallegos, Selena Zepeda, and Yahaira Ramirez (two-way tie for second place; each awarded $1,000)

These students were selected based on their academic performance, extracurricular involvement, leadership qualities, and dedication to service.

Recognizing Student Achievement Across JTHS

The scholarships were presented as part of Joliet Township High School District’s annual spring awards ceremonies, which celebrate the accomplishments of graduating seniors and recognize the support of community organizations.

At Joliet Central High School, the annual Ivy Night Senior Awards Ceremony, traditionally held in late April at the Central Auditorium (201 E. Jefferson St., Joliet), celebrates academic achievement, leadership, and the symbolic transition of leadership to the junior class.

At Joliet West High School, the Senior Awards Night, typically held in early May at the West Auditorium (401 N. Larkin Ave., Joliet), honors students for excellence in academics, arts, athletics, and leadership while recognizing community-sponsored scholarships and awards.

Supporting the Future of Healthcare

Joliet Rotary remains committed to supporting local students through its annual scholarship program and encourages future graduating seniors to apply. The program continues to grow through the support of community partners dedicated to investing in education and student success.
