For more than four decades, the Rotary Club has awarded community grants, providing over $1.4 million in support of projects and organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life throughout Will County

  • Donated $12,000 to The Alano Club for roof repairs and a new sign.
  • Donated $27,873 to Belmont Little League to replace fencing.

2023

  • Donated $25,154 to the Warren Sharpe Community Center for food‑pantry enhancements.

2022

  • Donated $30,000 for roof repairs and renovations at the Will‑Grundy Medical Clinic.

2021

  • Donated $25,000 to the Boys and Girls Club of Joliet to help restore the pool for swim lessons.

2020

  • Donated $11,000 to Cornerstone Services for accessible fitness equipment.
  • Donated $21,000 to Easterseals to renovate a residential home originally sponsored by Rotary in 1996.

2019

  • Donated $27,746 to the Spanish Community Center for building renovations and repairs.

2018

  • Donated $28,500 to Senior Services Center for the Senior Express transportation project.

2017

  • Contributed $33,067 for:
    • ADA pool lifts for the Galowich and Smith YMCAs
    • Staircase improvements at Werden Buck Boys & Girls Club
    • Donations to Easterseals and Cornerstone

2016

  • Funded the refurbishing of the Rialto Theatre marquee light.

2015

  • Funded a new delivery van for Habitat for Humanity.

2014

  • Funded a new passenger van for Our Lady of Angels retirement home.

2013

  • Donated $70,000 for the Rotary Wall at the Joliet Area Historical Museum.

2012

  • Funded a handicap‑accessible playground for UCP’s Reedswood School in Joliet.

2011

  • Funded:
    • Interior repainting of the Will Grundy Medical Clinic
    • New medication carts at Our Lady of Angels
    • New tile floor for St. Vincent de Paul

2010

  • Funded a new gym floor at Werden Buck Boys & Girls Club in Joliet.

2009

  • Funded a playground at Guardian Angel Home in Joliet.

2008

  • Funded a new men’s shower at DAYBREAK Shelter.

2007

  • Funded the purchase of a van for the Will County Senior Services Center.

2006

  • Funded Rotary college scholarships for high‑school seniors.

2005

  • Provided funding for sand filters for water treatment in the Dominican Republic.

2004

  • Donated $14,000 to Lamb’s Fold for a new shower room for women and children.

2003

  • Donated $30,000 to Joliet Hospice for the construction of a patient room.

2002

  • Donated $30,000 to the Rotary College Scholarship Program supporting Lewis University, University of St. Francis, and Joliet Junior College.

2001

  • Split $30,000 between:
    • The Salvation Army for kitchen renovations
    • Will County Humane Society for facility renovation

  • Donated $27,400 to Morningstar Mission Ministries for a kitchen renovation project.

1999

  • Donated $30,000 to help fund the Will‑Grundy Rotary Dental Clinic.

  • Donated $30,000 for endowed scholarships at three Joliet-area colleges and universities.

  • Donated $30,000 to United Cerebral Palsy Park for specialized playground equipment.

1996

  • Donated $32,000 to Easterseals for furnishing a supervisory group home.

1995

  • Donated $30,000 to help refurbish facilities for an abused women’s shelter.

1994

  • Purchased a 15‑passenger van for the Salvation Army.

1993

  • Donated $30,000 for handicapped playground equipment for Easterseals.
  • Donated 18 hospital beds shipped to a clinic in Mexico.

1992

  • Donated $26,100 to the D‑FY‑IT drug‑testing program for local high schools.

1991

  • Donated $30,000 to the Will‑Grundy Medical Clinic for a medication endowment fund.

1990

  • Donated $30,000 to Habitat for Humanity to construct two homes.

1989

  • Established a $75,000 endowment to maintain the YMCA Sports Field.

1984–1988

  • Contributed over $250,000 in cash and in‑kind support to build the Rotary Sports Complex at the Galowich YMCA.
