Overview

The Rotary Club of Joliet is proud to continue one of our most meaningful traditions: honoring exceptional older adults who enrich our community through service, leadership, and a deep commitment to others. Each year, the Silver Eagle Award recognizes seniors whose volunteerism has made a lasting and positive impact on the Joliet community.

Call for Nominations
We invite you to recognize outstanding individuals for the 2026 Silver Eagle Award. Nominees should embody the spirit of service and demonstrate a long-standing dedication to improving the quality of life in our community.
To be eligible, nominees must:
- be at least 65 years of age
- gone “beyond the call of duty” through volunteer leadership,
- have made contributions that have positively influenced the Joliet community.
Nominees may come from a wide variety of settings, including hospitals, schools, universities, nonprofits, community organizations, and public or private entities. We encourage you to think broadly and consider seniors throughout your personal and professional networks. You do not need to personally know the nominee in order to submit a recommendation.
Submit Your Nomination
Please email completed nomination form by April 1, 2026 to Rotarian Jane Condon with the subject line “Silver Eagle Award.”
The recipient will be honored as a distinguished guest at the Rotary Club of Joliet lunch meeting on June 6, 2026. The Club will graciously provide lunch for the awardee and one accompanying guest. During this occasion, the Silver Eagle Award will be formally presented by the Club President or an appointed representative in recognition of the recipient’s exemplary service.
Thank you for helping us celebrate the incredible seniors whose dedication strengthens and inspires our Joliet community.
