The Rotary Club of Joliet engages in significant local community service, fundraising for vital community projects and supports education, clean water and peace initiatives , all while promoting high ethical standards and fellowship among business and professional leaders in the Joliet area, often working behind the scenes to implement needed projects. 
 
Key Activities & Focus Areas:
  • Community Improvement: Spearheading projects like renovating the Boys & Girls Club of Joliet's pool, funding school supplies for Taft Elementary, and installing smoke alarms with the Red Cross.
  • Fundraising: Hosting events like our annual cash raffle to raise substantial funds for local charities, often bringing in around $60,000 annually.
  • Humanitarian Service: Supporting global Rotary causes such as providing clean water, fighting disease, supporting education, and protecting the environment.
  • Local Support: Donating to organizations like the Warren-Sharpe Community Center and the Spanish Community Center, and volunteering for events like the Joliet Chamber of Commerce's Top Student Banquet.
  • Ethical Leadership: Fostering high ethical standards in business and vocational pursuits, with members often holding leadership roles in other civic organizations.

How to Join

  1. Attend a Meeting: Visit a Tuesday lunch meeting to meet our members.
  2. Find a Sponsor: Each new member needs a current Rotary Club of Joliet sponsor.
  3. Submit an Application: Our membership committee will guide you through the process.
  4. Get Inducted: Once approved, you will be welcomed at a Club Meeting.
  5. Start Serving: Once inducted, you’ll be invited to join service teams and committees
