United for Good in the Fight Against Hunger
Each week, the Rotary share of our 50/50 raffle goes directly to Northern Illinois Food Bank, totaling $2,833 in 2025 to help fight hunger.
Northern Illinois Food Bank provides nutritious food to over 570,000 neighbors each month through a network of 900+ food programs — supported by 1,000 weekly volunteers.
Our members are proud to be part of that effort, regularly volunteering to sort and pack food that helps families across our region.
This work reflects Rotary’s global mission to strengthen communities and aligns with Rotary International’s 2025–26 message: Unite for Good.
Rotary Raffle Helps Restore Boys & Girls Club Pool
The Rotary Club of Joliet mad
e waves with its 2025 Cash Raffle, raising an impressive $65,700 to support youth programs and community initiatives across Joliet. This year’s featured project was a $40,000 grant awarded to the Boys & Girls Club of Joliet to help repair and rebuild the deteriorating exterior wall of its Olympic‑sized swimming pool.
The wall—long overdue for replacement—had been boarded up due to severe structural damage. With Rotary’s support, the renovation moved forward quickly to restore safety, natural light, and energy efficiency for the 250+ young people who use the pool throughout the year.
This effort continues Rotary’s long history of investing in the Boys & Girls Club, including past support for pool repairs, locker room updates, and other facility improvements. Additional raffle proceeds will continue to benefit both local and international charities that align with Rotary’s mission of improving lives and strengthening communities.
